MultiChoice Nigeria Celebrates 20 Years of Contributing To Nigeria’s Socio-Economic Growth
MultiChoice Nigeria, owners of Dstv, Gotv and Dstv Mobile last Sunday November 17, 2013 celebrated 20 years of digital broadcasting
in grand style with performances from Nigeria’s finest acts, like 2Face Idibia,
Daddy Showkey, Omawumi, Waje and Seyi Shay. The height of the event was the
hour long drama that depicted how the struggle of digital and private licensing
came to be. In attendance at the event was Emeka Mba, Director General,
National Broadcasting Commission, Adewunmi Ogunsanya, Chairman, MultiChoice,
John Ugbe, Managing Director MultiChoice and Dr. Tom Adaba, pioneer DG of the NBC. Other
celebs who attended include, Chief Jide Kosoko, Kate Henshaw, Funke Akindele,
Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki) and others. The event was anchored by BBA longest host
Ike Osakioduwa.
