Kelly Rowland Proposed To On Social Media

Kelly & Tim

Kelly Rowland
Proposing on-line isn't common, but when it happens and she say ‘Yes’ I guess you should be a lucky dude. Kelly Rowland has finally broke silence on her engagement report. The former Destiny's Child star confirmed during a recent visit to "The Queen Latifah Show" that she was engaged to her manager/beau Tim Witherspoon.
Rowland, 32, sparked engagement rumour last month after flashing in an Instagram video a huge diamond rock on her ring finger. It's her second engagement. She was engaged to former NFL star Roy Williams back in 2004. They broke it off in January 2005, just two months before the planned wedding ceremony.

Drake Sued Over Show Fraud

Drake

Drake OVO
Drake and his company OVO are being sued for breach of contract and unjust enrichment fraud. Concert promoter, Status Entertainment wanted the rapper to pay over $200, 000 interest and court fees in return for two cancelled gigs in Chicago.
The promoters accused Drake of pulling diva move when he upped his fee during his "meteoric rise to the top of the music charts, achieving worldwide fame and fortune" after initially agreeing to perform for $250,000 fee. Status had transferred the rapper $100,000 in advance but he pulled out of the March 2012 show without returning the money.
Drake performed for another promoter at a nearby venue three months later. He "profited handsomely as a result and to the detriment" of Status, the lawsuit said. The concert grossed between $340,000 to over $1 million based on ticket pricing.

Status once again tried to work with Drake for an October 2012 arena concert but the same thing happened.

Who Is RiRi Suing For $6.9M?

RiRi
Chris Brown Ex and Bajan beauty ‘RiRi’ Rihanna has been ordered to attend a deposition in court over a $6.9 million lawsuit she filed in 2011 against LaRocca Inspection Associates Inc for breach of contract. The singer reportedly sued the company over water leaks at a mansion she acquired in Beverly Hills, California in 2009 which she later sold for loss of up to $2 million.
According to documents obtained by RadarOnline.com a U.S site on Wednesday, Rihanna hired LaRocca Inspection Associates in August 2009 to conduct an analysis of the property for repairs to be fixed by the owners. The singer alleged in court documents that LaRocca did not make sure water seepage problems in the hardwood floors were fixed.

Reports by UK’s Daily claim the lawsuit says heavy rains in 2010 flooded several rooms in the mansion and extensive leakage followed.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Named 2013's Highest Grossing Actor

The Rock

Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is named 2013's highest grossing actor at the worldwide box office by Forbes. He wins the top spot with $1.3 billion after going neck and neck with
"Iron Man" actor Robert Downey Jr. who settles at the runner-up place with $1.2 billion.
The list doesn't reflect the paycheck these actors get, but rather how much money the movies they starred in earned in total. Downey Jr. falls short of taking the No. 1 position because he only has one movie release "Iron Man 3" which is a huge success this summer.
The Rock has more advantages because the pro wrestler-turned-actor has two box office hits "G.I. Joe Retaliation" and "Fast and Furious 6" this year. He additionally appeared in at least two other smaller films "Snitch" and "Pain and Gain".
His "Fast and Furious" co-stars Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker sit on the fourth and sixth places. In between them, "Gravity" actress Sandra Bullock rounds up the top 5.

Another female star, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" actress Jennifer Lawrence, closes the top 10 list.
  1. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - $1.3 billion
  2. Robert Downey Jr. - $1.2 billion
  3. Steve Carell - $964 million
  4. Vin Diesel - $887 million
  5. Sandra Bullock - $862 million
  6. Paul Walker - $789 million
  7. Billy Crystal - $743 million
  8. John Goodman - $743 million
  9. Chris Hemsworth - $701 million
  10. Jennifer Lawrence - $700 million

Its Official: Mercy Johnson Is Highest Paid Actress In Nigeria

Mercy Johnson Okojie
When Charles Novia picked Mercy Johnson Okojie as his best actress for 2013, he actually saw something.
To set the record straight, Mercy Johson Okojie is the highest paid actress in Nollywood right now. Besides being one of the most sought after actresses, the dark skinned actress has placed herself on a pedestal where we gathered she now charges up to N2million fee and over for a movie.
One thing for sure is that she isn’t planning to give up her position anytime soon as she tweeted, ‘Na God do am and only he can take it back. Not yet time gurls stay back’.

Who could these girls be? Rita, Omotola, Genny? Just my thought.

Ex BBA Star, Karen Igho Battling Cancer

Ex BBA Star, Karen Igho is battling cancer, but not too worry she says all is well as she will undergo Chemotherapy soon.
She was bold enough to let the whole world know that she’s battling the disease on twitter. Some minutes later, she deleted the tweet. This has kept many in a state of confusion as to if truly she’s battling cancer or not.
To set the record straight, back in October 2013, Karen disclosed that she had a lumpectomy because lumps were found in her breasts.

We on MSB say it’s well with Karen

OC Ukeje, Lynxxx, Skuki Battle For Chidinma's Heart

Chidinma

Miss Kedike
Admirers, admirers, oh admirers. Miss Keidke seems to be centre of attraction for many male celebrity like musicians especially. Before now, it was one of the Skuki singing duo who said he would give an arm to marry ‘Emi Ni Baller’ singer, Chidinma Ekile; next to profess love for the very pretty petite and singer was rapper, Lynxxx, who said he was madly in love with her.
Now, it is the turn of AMBO made Nollywood actor, OC Ukeje, who has come out to tell all lovers of Chidinma that they have him to contend for her heart.
Chidinma you have a lot around you now, so decide.
Sincerely out of all these dudes, who do you think will be better for Chidinma?

No Koko Concert For 2013

D'Banj
It seems tradition will be broken this year. You might just be wandering what tradition. Anyway this is to official announced that Koko Concert won’t be staged this year.
So sad I must say. The CEO of DB Records D’banj who is also the brain behind the concert said he decided to put the show on hold this year in honour of Late Nelson ‘Madiba’ Mandela.
For record sake Madiba died this December and each year the concert is announced two months or more before its staged, why is D’Banj using Late Madiba as an excuse for not bringing the show on this year?
Last year the show flopped and I guess D’Banj just realised that the concert can’t attain all the desired success without those he started with.
Though all hopes aren’t lost as he has promised to make it up to his fans by hosting three ‘Koko Parties’ this yuletide season.

Just as the likes of Harrysong is making millions with caller tunes for his tribute to Nelson Mandela, others are busy using the death of Madiba as an excuse not to do what they ought to do.

Mariah Carey Feeds On Bankers Christmas Welfare Package

Mariah Carey On Stage
Some of you might not be aware that Mariah Carey was in Nigeria over the weekend to perform at a show organised by one of Nigeria’s top banks.
Carey visit to Nigeria wasn’t too pleasant to many both with and outside the shores of Nigeria.
Some Nigerians believed the money paid to her should have been channeled into improving the welfare of staff as over 200 staff in another bank were laid off last week.
Elsewhere in United States of America, RadarOnline.com, described the performance by Mariah Carey as a disgrace to the United States, saying she should “have thought twice before agreeing to accept the pay check from the bank.”
After the singer posted a picture of herself on her Instagram page with the title, “Backstage in Nigeria,” the online site reported thus:

“Carey isn’t the first performer who has taken a paycheck to perform in Nigeria.

WACONZY PLAYS BIG BROTHER ROLE TO 2FACE, PSQUARE, WIZKID, MAY D, ICE PRINCE AND OTHERS

Waconzy
Just after a week of apologising to celebrities he disrespected such as Mr. Flavour, Davido, Wizkid and lots more, Waconzy, is at it again.
This time the singer wants to play a big brother role thereby lashing out to fellow musicians who have babies outside wedlock rather than getting married properly.
Do we say Waconzy needs attention or is he looking for cheap publicity?
Though he did not mention names of the artistes involved, but I bet a lot of you out there know who he is referring to.
Fellow artistes who had children out of wedlock include Peter and Paul Okoye, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Terry G, May D, 2Face Idibia, and a host of others.

AFRICAN MOVIE ACADEMY AWARDS HONOURS MANDELA

AMAA
Change is one thing that remains constant. Just as the world mourn the passing of great African leader, Nelson Mandela, the 2014 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) will take a new shape with different changes made including the addition and removal of some categories.
Speaking at a recent meeting held in Durban, South Africa, Journalist/Film Critic June Givanni revealed the new decisions taken by the jury towards delivering a better 10th edition.

Nelson Mandela

We gathered that organisers are introducing an award named after late South African president, Nelson Mandela ‘Madiba Africa Vision Awards’ (MAVA) to be received by any film that captures the essence and vision of the category.
I think I know the movie that will clinch this category; I guess some of you know too.

A new category ‘Best Director First Feature Film’ has also been introduced to encourage young and upcoming film directors to continue to strive for excellence and best practices.
